The "Rei das Praias" has been on this magnificent beach since 1976.
The restaurant was born out of a passion for combining gastronomy with the unique atmosphere of the beaches. We are recognised for our authentic cuisine and a team dedicated to providing unforgettable moments for our customers.

In the meantime, please note that we have a high level of satisfaction. The service is fast and efficient. Das Essen war den Preisen entsprechend. Frisch, authentisch, schmackhaft. Salat, Ceviche und Jakobsmuscheltatar wurden verköstigt und für gut bis sehr gut befunden. If you're looking for a flavourful Salat, you'll want to try the Essen 5 Sterne.
In der Tat mag es zur Mittagszeit sehr warm auf der Terrasse sein, ab 17:00 (im Oktober) ist es allerdings sehr angenehm.

This is a hidden gem and worth the drive down some small picturesque roads. Located on the beautiful beach and an awesome sunset location as well. The food is amazing, the service 100% perfect and great value for money. The place was built up from the dad grilling fish on the beach selling it to now being a top notch place with a varied menu, good wine card and just all the way through an outstanding experience. Ask the waiter for fish if the day and he will bring it to the table before they cook for x number of people. Thank you for a great evening!

Fabulous, we love this restaurant so much. The view, the staff, the owner, his son, everything was beautifully fresh and tasted amazing. Service was great and the staff were happy even though it is non stop for them. We can't wait to return one day.

Our favourite restaurant on the Algarve. We return here every time we are in Portugal.
Stunning views, great atmosphere (sax on a Friday evening), beautiful food.
It is expensive but totally worth it.
We tend to order the fresh fish every time. Sole, Snapper and Monk Fish kebab. Divine.

Kind and attentive service. The place was very quiet for the time of year. The dishes were great! The value for money isn't that great, but it's worth a visit. Sit back and enjoy the view with the beautiful sea in front of you without any hassle.

It's our second time here, our favourite restaurant in the algarve is Evaristo which sadly burnt down in 2023. Rei das Praias is an extremely close second having discovered it last year. Service, location, food quality and ambience is outstanding. The food is impeccable, the service attentive and the views are wonderful. We have a villa in the Algarve and will continue to visit every trip going forward.

Really a great place for a meal at the beach. The service was super friendly and the food was fresh and plentiful. Afterwards, the kids were able to pop down to the beach to play for a while. We really enjoyed ourselves!

The prices are usually below the average, but the view is so spectacular that it's easy to understand.

What a lovely restaurant right next to the beach. The atmosphere was great, chill and pretty laid back. We didn't have a reservation as we went at an odd time, but the place was still busy. So I would recommend booking during busy season. We only had a couple of drinks and some appetisers but they were pretty good! I am sure the main courses would have been amazing, but we didn't try as we weren't really hungry. But the vibe is pretty chill so I would definitely recommend it.

We have been coming to this restaurant countless times over the last 15 or so years and the food is always fantastic! Beautiful fresh fish, lovely salads and an excellent wine list, and the setting is stunning. The service is superb and friendly. Try to go for the sunset if you can and there is a lovely little beach there too.

It's the only restaurant on Praia dos Caneiros, so we booked the day before by telephone. No sooner had we arrived than we were given a good table and the service was perfect. We ordered an oyster ceviche and eggs rotos with carabineros. Spectacular, I don't know the rest of the menu but we enjoyed it, overlooking a very beautiful beach. It's not a cheap restaurant, but the price-quality ratio seemed just right.

What a fabulous restaurant, from the moment you arrive you are blown away by the wonderful beachside location, and then such a warm welcome from Jose and the team. As for the food where to begin! The most fantastic menu you could wish for, and we dived in to a selection of shellfish cooked to perfection. The desserts to die for and service was first class. So good in fact that we had to go back a few days later to repeat the experience all over again, this time with a wonderful Cataplana fish stew which was incredible.

Ontzettend lekker eten en een fantastische lokatie. Heerlijke Red Snapper met gegrilde groentes zijn aan te raden! Ook de gesauteerde groenten en de tong waren heerlijk! Well done. Hou er rekening mee dat ze zondagavond gesloten zijn.

We had a lovely experience here watching the sunset on the beach and then going inside for dinner. We had some fresh fish, which was good, though I get the sense that shellfish may be more of the speciality. A bit expensive, but clearly you are also paying for the setting and the views. The staff were quite friendly and attentive, and were able to customise for our dietary restrictions and preferences.

This restaurant is located right on the beach and offers a great seafood menu.
Great for a sunset dinner with ocean views and impeccable service. The food was great and I highly recommend the seafood rice!

Still one of the best beach restaurants in the Algarve. Fresh fish, great service and beautiful views. You can choose to eat at the restaurant in a more traditional setting or upstairs on the terrace, an open space facing the beach and the cliffs! Will definitely come back next year!
